These relaxed-fit shorts feature a loose, comfortable silhouette.
The main motif is “Oni-Ochi” Sumineko, a playful version of Sumineko inspired by Japanese folklore.
In Japanese culture, oni are demon-like spirits often seen in traditional tales, while mysterious flames known as onibi are believed to appear in supernatural stories. This design combines those elements with Sumineko’s cat character, creating a unique “ghost-fire cat” motif.
The embroidery also includes supporting motifs such as hyotan, a traditional Japanese gourd often associated with good fortune, protection, and old folk imagery.
Different embroidered designs of “Oni-Ochi” Sumineko are placed on the cargo pockets on both sides and the right hip pocket, adding detail from multiple angles.
